I've requested "No Auto Corrections" from a guy who operates a Noritsu S-2 for the public, and his response is that there's a bit of correction built into the algorithms that he cannot disable, not sure what utility he's running or if he meant that it's built into the machine? So far I haven't figured out how to get a "No Color Correction" look from the Dimage Scan IV with Silverfast SE. How do the scanners compare?ĮPSONScan has the "No Color Correction" - what you see is what you get feature - that i'll enable without much thought for most every frame that's even close to a proper exposure then there's that pesky, smeared, lack of detail result with 135 scans that's hard to ignore. Regardless, I think we'll purchase SilverFastġDunPhoto: edited this topic 77 months ago. Large prints under the loupe will be a more satisfying test, I reckon. I'm becoming more convinced that adding 6400dpi scan capabilities to a 12 year old 3200dpi scanner might be a winner. The 6400dpi chrome hangs in there much longer under magnification in Windows Photo Viewer, while the 3200dpi begins to look animated.
